Insufficient light, but at least some clarity can be seen in the tunnel. The strike of the Spanish footballers continues, but the parties have approximated positions in the meeting sponsored today by the Higher Sports Council (CSD) with unions and employers. At the end of the meeting, held at the Ministry of Labor Ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security, the Association of Spanish Footballers (AFE) and the ON and UGT Footballers unions highlighted the "advances" made to be able to call off unemployment for the next few days 16 and 17 and sign the collective agreement for women's football.

"We have exposed to the Ministries of Sports and Labor the concern for our problem. This type of meetings what it does is to achieve what we have been looking for for more than a year, but we continue in the struggle for a dignified Collective Agreement for our partners," AFE president David Aganzo said after about two hours of negotiation.

Aganzo declared himself "optimistic", but stressed that the signing of the agreement "does not depend only" on the players. "The same problems remain, although there is a new proposal from Mediapro . The employer has to get the money. From the union we proposed to give visibility to women's football through the pools," he recalled.

The president of AFE also stressed that there was talk of improving the salary and recognition of 75% of the workday, but noted that there are other important issues that are intended to be implemented, such as maternity and the reconciliation of family life.

The secretary of state, Yolanda Valdeolivas , was also present at the negotiating table, who was positive in finding solutions to unlock the conflict. "The interests of both parties are perfectly reconcilable," said Valdeolivas, who believes that the conflict "will have a way out" in the coming dates.

The collective agreement could be signed soon thanks, among other things, to the 1.5 million euros that the Mediapro group announced that it will offer to the Association of Women's Soccer Clubs (ACFF), in exchange for the retransmission of two matches per day of the First Iberdrola , with the objective of financing the requests of the players and thus avoiding the call for a strike.

For his part, the manager of Footballers ON, Tamara Ramos , also reflected some optimism: "We are closer than ever, but the strike is still called." A light also perceived by the head of Culture and Sports of UGT, José María García González : "What really separates both parties is a million and a half euros, which curiously coincides with the proposal of Mediapro."
