Zlatan Ibrahimovic did not become MLS's most valuable player. Instead, the shooting king Carlos Vela received the award.



Vela scored 34 goals for his Los Angeles FC this season. Ibrahimovic scored with 31 goals for LA Galaxy during his second year in MLS.

Vela became the first Mexican player to take home the MVP title. The former Real Sociedad striker also had 15 goals during the season.
