100 meters on skis inside the cities.

Is skiing the right way to go to increase entertainment value and attract larger crowds? The views of the super sprint, which this year grows into the World Sprint Series - an international tour without a World Cup status but with high prices - share the ski world.

The Norwegian, Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, believes that the competition form is here to stop.

- There is no doubt about that. I believe in the concept, and in the long run it can be a good thing. In the beginning, it is important that profiles are set up so that they can be screwed up around them. If I have the opportunity, I should definitely join in, ”he tells NTB.

"Don't prioritize"

His Swedish competitors are not as positive.

- There is nothing I will prioritize, says Stina Nilsson, who confirms that she will not start in the competition at home, even though the organizer had done so before.

- I will not drive it in Östersund, says Nilsson.

TT: Could it still be a way for skiing to go?

- I really do not know.

"Not my thing"

Calle Halfvarsson does not share the enthusiasm of Høsflot Klæbo either.

- No. It's not my thing, I'm way too slow and then I don't think it's that interesting either, says Halfvarsson, who doesn't think it's the right route for skiing to take.

- I may be old fashioned, but I do not think it is interesting to look at. We have 100 meters in running and it is interesting, but I do not think that anyone in Spain will find it interesting to look at 100 meters in skis.

The World Sprint Series starts in Östersund on November 9 and will be arranged in five more cities during the season.
