Spanish footballers are on strike for an indefinite period starting November 16.

The decision followed a failure of talks between Spanish league and Spanish football federations.

Last week, 93% of women voted in favor of the strike after a meeting in Madrid.

But there is a desire on the part of the main players' association and the Spanish Football Federation to increase salaries from 16,000 euros a year to 20,000.

The Spanish Football Federation is also seeking to increase the salaries of players with temporary contracts to 12,000 euros a year, which is equivalent to about 75% of the full annual wage.
