On October 24, 2018, the Egyptian King scored two goals in his team's four-goal tie against Red Star in the third round of the Champions League group stage.

Salah reached that number in just 65 games, 12 games less than the record holder in the "Albert" Albert Stephens.

The Egyptian star also surpassed the legends passed by the Reds, led by Spanish Fernando Torres, who reached the 50th goal after 84 games, the English Ian Rush after 87 games, and the Uruguayan Luis Suarez after 91 games.

Salah's tally in the world's biggest club tournament has risen to 18 goals, just three goals from Liverpool's top scorer Steven Gerrard (21).
