Towards the end of the second period, “Washington” was 3-1, but pressed against the wall, “Edmonton” managed to turn the tide. Dreisaytl and McDavid scored on the puck and transferred the match to overtime, and there the two scored a winning goal in the second minute immediately after Niklas Bekström failed to complete the scoring organized for him by Ovechkin. Two goals of the Russian and his nine shots did not bring “Washington” the fifth victory in a row.

Double of a young Russian

Dallas Stars has become one of the biggest disappointments of the season. In the first nine matches, the Texans won only one victory. And although they managed to win two more matches by the arrival of Anaheim Ducks, the situation remained so difficult that the coaching staff began to attract players from the farm club. One of those from whom they expected salvation was the 22-year-old striker Denis Guryanov. And the bet on the young native of Togliatti really played.

Already in the third minute of the match in his first shift Guryanov distinguished himself with an excellent wrist throw, after which the puck had to be taken out of the net. Shortly before the end of the period, Guryanov tried again to execute the same throw. The puck offensively off the hook, but Anaheim goalkeeper John Gibson was only taken aback by this and missed again. The Russian issued a double - before that, he had only one puck in the NHL matches.

Guryanov went around goals in a season for Alexander Radulov, who continued to serve the link in the third link.
