LA FC was the start and end with two completely different outputs. When he arrived for just over a year and a half, it was hardly as a pioneer, but rather as the last ace of football in the rock sleeve. "Can not Zlatan charm the United States, football can give up this continent" was what many rightly thought.

But Zlatan charmed the United States. It was not a matter of time, it was a matter of seconds. In the first edition of El Tráfico, known as the Los Angeles derby, he turned the match and offered goals that the American lacked. Can football be this good?

Playoffs say a lot about the United States

After tonight's 3-5 loss and withdrawal from the MLS playoffs, it is only to be noted that football has gained a bigger place in Los Angeles with Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He has largely built this city's derival rivalry himself, but this country he has also completely unashamedly delivered his boots to.

Just take this with playing the playoffs. It says a lot about the cultural difference between sports in the United States and sports on this side of the Atlantic. If a team or league is not good enough, you question the game and the sport here in Europe. You possibly and probably make a connection to the economy - but there it stays. In MLS, the answer can be found in the concept and format. Before this year, for example, it was new with knockout matches in the playoffs.

If he wants to write history, he should move

In the US, it's all about entertaining. In Zlatan's world, it's about being the best. Both sides are uncompromising and they have clashed many times during these two seasons. He has seen the playoffs, the co-players, the opponents, questioning what they are doing over there - and by all means, he has delivered.

31 games have resulted in 31 goals this season. No one can say that Zlatan Ibrahimovic did not live up to the high expectations during his US adventure. He is allowed to continue if that is what he feels best for.

But if it is about writing history, if it is the challenges that are the focus - there is no point in continuing to write in this chapter. And the book doesn't have to be over for that. From Europe, clubs like Napoli with big league titles and Champions League are still flirting.
