Tonny Vilhena helped FC Krasnodar on Thursday with a goal at a 0-2 win against Trabzonspor in the Europa League. Earlier in the evening, VfL Wolfsburg lost a lead at AA Gent: 2-2 despite a hit by Wout Weghorst.

In injury time, Vilhena secured the three points for Krasnodar against Trabzonspor. The midfielder determined the final score after a combination with former AZ striker Ari. Marcus Berg, active for PSV and FC Groningen in the past, made the other goal for the Russians.

Wolfsburg, with Jeffrey Bruma in the starting line-up, took the lead early on against Ghent. Weghorst tapped in a cross by Marcel Tisserand at the second post. João Victor doubled the margin and just before half-time Roman Yaremchuk provided the connection goal. Deep in injury time, Yaremchuk also made 2-2.

The German club still leads five in three matches in group I. KAA Ghent also has five points and is in second place. In the same pool, Saint-Etienne-FC Oleksandriya finished in 1-1. Both clubs have two points after three rounds of play.
