LONDON (Reuters) - Irish connor McGregor told a news conference in Moscow on Thursday that he plans to return to the mixed martial arts (UFC) on January 18 in Las Vegas against an undisclosed competitor.

McGregor said he wanted to play three games in 2020, including replays against Nate Diaz and Habib Nur Mammadov, who beat McGregor in last year's lightweight title.

Irish wrestler McGregor said he felt in good physical condition, so he agreed with the organizing company to return Benzal on January 18.

McGregor announced his retirement in March, five months after losing to Nurmmadov in a controversial fight.

The 30-year-old Nurmukhamedov set a record after beating American rival Dustin Poirier on September 7, where he has not suffered a defeat in his professional career, winning 28 battles so far.

The Russian fighter refused to confront McGregor, justifying that the latter begged him not to kill him during the confrontation in which he defeated him last year.

Mammadov pointed out that McGregor is not worth replaying, because in the past three years he has only won one.
