The unmistakable hunched silhouette and cordial character, typical of a simple country man who lived in harmony with nature, made a dent in ultra-deep-hearted fans, who turned Francisco Contreras into an idol called Super Paco. This Tuesday, the charismatic Malaga runner died at age 81, victim of a cancer that had undermined him since last September.
The City Council of Cártama, the hometown of Contreras, confirmed the death of Super Paco, one of the great attractions of the latest editions of the 101 kilometers of Ronda. In the 2014 edition of this ultra-fund test, participants coined the popular nickname.
