Swedish handball star Isabelle Gulldén has played no match since Sweden met Russia in the European Championship round in December last year.

After the European Championships, she assumed she was pregnant, and gave birth to her son Lias on July 19.

She has been training for a few weeks with her French team Brest Brittany, and today she was selected for Sweden's squad ahead of the World Cup in Japan, which starts on November 30.

- I have said that I want to be a hundred percent. That is what you can start from and I hope I am even better than the last championship, she said at the press conference.

"Glad she's back"

Federal Captain Henrik Signell:

- She had meant a lot to any national team and I am obviously happy that she is back and extremely motivated to play the World Cup. Everyone knows what she can do on a handball field and she is of course very useful to us, but we have many others who are also and we need to deliver in many positions to go a long way.

Otherwise, there were no major surprises in the squad presented by Confederate Henrik Signell. However, it contains a total of five World Cup debutants.

Johanna Westberg, just like Isabelle Gulldén, had children this summer. However, she is not quite as far ahead in her training,
