When the ladies of the cross country team go to high altitude camp, Hanna Falk will not follow, and the Swedish looks to miss the entire coming season.

- For a couple of years Hanna has had back pain to and from a degree that could be managed and she has been able to be high-performing. However, she has now come to a position where we believe that she is best helped by a disk operation, which is planned to take place within 1-2 months. During this season, Hanna will largely be able to focus on rehabilitation training, says national team physician Magnus Oscarsson in a press release.

Hanna Falk herself says that her focus this winter will be on surgery and rehabilitation. The 30-year-old will be able to ski during the latter part of the season but has no plans to start any competitions.

- Instead, I have set the goal for upcoming championship seasons. Right now I need peace and quiet and will focus entirely on coming back in the best way, says Hanna Falk.
