Feyenoord starts on Sunday with Marcos Senesi and Nicolai Jørgensen in the base of the home game against Heracles Almelo. Both the defender and the striker are kicking off for the first time this season.

Senesi came over for 7 million euros from San Lorenzo last summer, but has since had to settle for just two raids. Trainer Jaap Stam said on Friday that the Argentinian still has to get used to the Feyenoord game.

The base of Senesi is at the expense of Eric Botteghin. The Brazilian is indeed the captain, but in the last few weeks he has already made a mistake on a counter goal.

Jørgensen faced injury at the start of this season, which meant that he too only came into action twice as a substitute. Stam already announced on Friday that the Dane is fit enough for ninety minutes.

Feyenoord has a disappointing start to the competition. The national champion of 2017 occupies tenth place with thirteen points from nine games, thirteen points less than leader Ajax, who narrowly won 1-2 against RKC Waalwijk on Saturday.

Heracles can be found in ninth place with fourteen points from nine games. The Tukkers are working on a strong series with four wins from the last five games.

Feyenoord-Heracles Almelo starts at De Kuip on Sunday at 4.45 pm and is headed by referee Jeroen Manschot. Martin Pérez acts as a video referee (VAR) from Zeist.
