Enric Mas won the fourth stage of the Tour of Guangxi on Sunday and captured the leader's jersey. Antwan Tolhoek finished fourth in Nongla.
Mas left the Colombian Daniel Felipe Martínez just behind him on the final climb of the 161 kilometer stage and the Italian Diego Rosa came in third. Tolhoek, who drives for Jumbo-Visma, crossed the line twelve seconds behind Mas. With Sunweb rider Martijn Tusveld, ninth on 28 counts of the Spaniard, another Dutchman finished in the top ten.
In the general classification, Mass took over the lead from German sprinter Pascal Ackermann, who on Saturday won the third stage of the last WorldTour race of this season.
As expected, Ackermann was unable to compete with the best riders in the mountainous fourth stage, causing him to sink. Martínez, the number two of the stage, is now also the number two of the general classification five minutes from Mas. Tolhoek is fourth at 22 seconds and Tusveld is the number ten. The Tour of Guangxi lasts until Tuesday.
