A video of the lightweight mixed martial arts (UFC) world champion Dagestani fighter Nur Mammadov has been posted on social media.

The Dagestani Eagle, known for its unusual workouts, beginning with its struggle with a young bear and coming out in the mountains of Dagestan and outdoor training, has published a video on Instagram as it swims against a river stream.

"Today is very cold and he didn't care," the video said. "I tried to put my feet and froze from the coldness of the water. It is the hard work and determination of the hero."

Nur Mammadov retained his title after beating American rival Dustin Poirier.

The 30-year-old Dagestani was named one of the most prominent mixed martial arts legends by not losing any professional career, winning 28 battles.
