Sweden was awarded two competition weekends for the 2020-2021 season during the International Ski Federation's meeting in Swiss Zurich earlier in October. At Saturday's board meeting, the Swedish Ski Federation nailed on which resorts to compete:

  • Ulricehamn January 16-17, sprint freestyle and sprint relay freestyle
  • Falun on January 30-31, 10/15 km classic and sprint classic or freestyle

"Both Ulricehamn and Falun are experienced and very professional World Cup organizers and we look forward to top class competitions for large audiences," said Ola Strömberg, associate director and acting longitudinal manager, in a press release.

It is noteworthy that when Ulricehamn arranged world cup competitions earlier (both 2017 and 2019) they competed in 15/10 km freely and relay races but in 2021 it will only be sprint competitions.
