In the first match, Filip Krajinovic, number 60 on the world rankings, faced something of a bang when he defeated 35-ranked Spaniard Pablo Carreno-Busta by 2-1 in set.

The 27-year-old Serb turned inferior to victory with 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. The final, played at 15 on Sunday, will be his third of his career, but he has never been a winner before.

Between Krajinovic and the cup stand 34-ranked Denis Shapovalov from Canada, who in his semi-final defeated the clearly worse-ranked Japanese Yuichi Sugita by 2-0 (7-5, 6-2).

Shapovalov in his first ATP final

- It feels fantastic. I was a little nervous at first and he (Yuichi Sugita) played very well at first. So I'm very pleased that I turned the game around, Shapovalov tells ATP afterwards.

The 20-year-old from Canada has never played an ATP final before.

- If I'm going to be completely honest, it feels great just to be on to my first final. But of course it would be great to also win my first title, says Shapovalov.

In the final of the double tournament, at 13, the Croatian Mate Pavic and his Brazilian partner Bruno Soares will face the Finnish-French duo Henri Kontinen and Edouard Roger-Vasselin.
