Ryan Babel made an important contribution to Galatasaray's first victory in more than a month. The Orange-international scored the third goal for his team in the 3-2 home game against Sivasspor.

32-year-old Babel cut his direct opponent fifteen minutes before the end of the sixteen-meter area and saw his shot hit the goal post via the right post. The attacker made his third goal of the season in the Süper Lig.

Galatasaray took a 2-0 lead in the first half via two goals from Florin Andone, one of which was a penalty kick. Shortly after halftime, Sivasspor had to continue with ten men after a second yellow card for Isaac Cofie, but nevertheless Arouna Koné (ex-PSV and Roda JC) provided the connection goal twenty minutes before time.

With the Babel goal, Galatasaray seemed to have the three points, but in the 84th minute Erdogan Yesilyurt brought the tension back again. The home team, to which Ryan Donk had already taken over, did not relinquish the victory in the future.
