He met Nilsson last summer and had a conversation about the thigh injury that occurred at the finish in Otepääs sprint in January. Nilsson then battled against the clock for a month and could sensationally compete in the Seefeld World Cup and win two golds.

- When I talked to her last summer, she was very optimistic and that leg (right) was stronger than the other. She wasn't worried at all and it didn't feel like she was thinking about it at all, says Blomquist.

"Stina is extremely disciplined"

He has had the extent of the injury clear and today's comment from Nilsson is in line with what Blomquist himself thinks:

- It has probably been my picture all along. Such an injury can go up, if you start getting such injuries, then you have to work with them. But what she did up until the World Cup was just crazy good, being able to do it at that time and get a good result too, says Blomquist.

It is continuous rehab that applies.

- Then it is important to keep it going. It doesn't worry me, Stina knows what she's doing. She is extremely disciplined to deal with these issues even if it feels boring. I don't think we will see any limitation really. She can certainly hit it again at a similar finish but I am not worried but think she will handle it perfectly, Blomquist thinks.
