PARIS (Reuters) - French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Laudrian has decided not to attend a football match against Turkey on Tuesday night in Paris, following a Turkish military operation in northern Syria, his office said.

The office said Ludriane had previously planned to attend the match.

French authorities plan to step up security ahead of the Euro 2020 qualifiers at the French International Stadium after France and the European Union condemned Operation Spring of Peace.

The Turkish team won two goals without a response in the first match between the two teams in Group H on 8 June last at the "Turku Arena" in the Turkish city of Konya.

Turkey lead the group with 18 points at the top of the standings, a difference of direct confrontations against the French team, and tonight will be the top of the group to resolve the qualification to Euro 2020.
