Simone Biles took the world title on beam for the third time in history on Sunday in Stuttgart. It is her 24th World Cup medal ever, making her the most successful gymnast ever.
The 22-year-old Biles came to a score of 15,066 points in the final. She was the Chinese women Liu Tingting (14,433) and Li Shijia (14,300) in charge.
For the American it is her fourth gold medal at the tournament in Stuttgart. Previously she took the title with the American women in the country competition and was individually the strongest in the all-around and jump.
With her 24th World Cup medal, Biles knocked Vitaly Scherbo off the throne as a record holder. The Belarusian took 23 slices in his rich career.
Of the 24 medals that Biles won, no fewer than 18 were gold. She won silver three times, while she also finished third three times.
