Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have been talking about the best in the world of witchcraft for years, especially as the duo have won individual titles and are far from the rest of the world.

But one of the players who shone years ago in the Premier League has found a way to end the trade-off between Messi and Ronaldo.

Former Spurs and Manchester United star Dimitar Berbatov said the duo should be awarded at all times. "You can't say that one is better than the other," he said.

"Ronaldo wants to win all the prizes because he is ambitious. Messi doesn't show it, but he is in the same position.

"When you are good, you know you are good, why should you be ashamed of that?" The international striker concluded.

The Argentine has said that he wished Ronaldo to continue at Real Madrid, adding in an interview singled out by Radio Catalonia recently that the presence of Ronaldo gives added to the competition, especially in clasico games.

Ronaldo said a few weeks ago that Messi was a great player and part of football history. The Juventus star said in remarks quoted by the network "Sky Sports" that he shares the competition with Messi for the title of best during a long period.

The pair have won most individual awards in recent years, and have been crowned World Player of the Year for more than a decade.
