Linus Sundström has been allowed to come home to Avesta after the accident in Poland. From the crash, where he broke his upper arm, femur and pulled on a concussion that turned out to be very serious, he remembers certain fragments.

- I remember driving with the other driver and thinking that "this will not go well". I haven't looked into the crash, it's not something I'm interested in, but it was a fucking bang, ”he tells SVT Sport.

- Then I remember they loaded me into the ambulance, but then it's completely black.

During a six-hour transport to another hospital in Poland, the situation became critical.

- The concussion began to feel and the brain began to swell. And then they saw something on the liver. It was most critical for one to one and a half days, he says.

Too bad to be anesthetized

Linus Sundström says that in retrospect he did not want to find out how serious the situation was.

- I just know it wasn't good, then how close I was to falling off the stick I don't know. But I got a lot of new blood then and I was too bad to sleep down so the surgery took a week.

The surgery got rid of last week and now there are plates and screws in the upper arm and in the femur. After two weeks as a bed, he now has a wheelchair and a walk-in table to help him move. Linus Sundström has received positive messages at Falun's laser court.

- They said the operation was really well done. I will be completely restored, they say.

Now months of rehabilitation await - but Linus Sundström is sure he will come back to the track again.

- There is a long damn road left, but when the elite series starts in May you will see Linus Sundström on the starting line.
