In a long interview with Expressen, Ibrahimovic airs his views. Among other things, he addresses the lack of players with foreign background in Andersson's first starting eleven autumn 2016.

"Then he will destroy what I have been building for 20 years," says Ibrahimovic, who finished in the national team after the European Cup finals in the summer of the same year.

Sebastian Larsson, who played in the national team together with Ibrahimovic 2008-2016, feels that it is a harmonious group where everyone is included.

"Everyone has the right to their opinion"

- I don't have much to say really, but everyone has the right to his opinion, is that he knows and if it is the thoughts he has, he has every right to say them. We as a group, I think you can ask all players, whether you have been with us for a long time or are new, you feel very welcome in this gang. We are a tight group having a lot of fun together and pulling in the same direction. Otherwise, I can't comment on that very much. That's the picture I have of it all, Larsson tells SVT Sport.

You usually say that there is a noise around the national team that you learn to deal with. Now it feels like it's worse than ever. Do you have any contact with Zlatan?

- No, I have not and it is clear that we all know that when such a great player as Zlatan, one of the greatest we have had, makes a statement, it becomes big stuff. It is nothing strange but you know that you will obviously get questions from the media. There is an interest in what he says and we can only relate to what is happening in the group and keep the nice and good atmosphere we have. It has been a contributing factor to the success we have had in recent years. Everyone knows that it is the team that is number one.

"Zlatan wants things to go well for the Swedish national football team"

Does it feel like he supports you and is it important?

- Yes, you may ask him that because I have no contact with him. I don't know how he looks at it. I absolutely think he wants it to go well for the Swedish national football team, not least given his own history. He is, among other things, the most target shooter we have had with all that it means.

Should Zlatan and the union sit down and talk about some stuff?

- Yes, if they want to, but I don't know. It doesn't matter to me to be completely honest. They have to do that themselves, says Larsson.
