Despite many good chances in both directions, it became a close match when Finland's perhaps best hockey team was visiting.

Kärpät had the chance to secure a playoff spot in victory and Skellefteå was more or less forced to win.

- We aimed to mix Kärpät into these two places and we succeed, says Skellefteå's coach Tommy Samuelsson to SVT Sport.

Adam Pettersson gave the home team the lead in the middle of the first period but Kärpät created several good chances to get a receipt. Among other things, a puck that slowly slipped past Lindvall but was saved by the slop Filip Berglund.

Not even the star, Jesse Puljujärvi, who chose to leave the NHL to start at home in Finland, managed to find the right behind Lindvall.

- We knew we needed to take this victory in order to move on. It's a nice victory. It's nice with a zero. I think I get good help in my own zone. It's nice for the whole team to know that we can keep zero, says Lindvall.

Tom Pyatt decided in the final second with goals in the empty box. Skellefteå slides up in group management with one match left. Next, wait away meeting with Kärpät next week.
