Exercise wants MFF to start its own women's team

Just a month ago, the news came that Malmö FF and LB07 want to merge, which leads to MFF taking over the LB07 women's team in such cases.

- Malmö FF and LB07 complement each other very well. This is a merger that would strengthen Malmö FF in many dimensions, MFF chairman Anders Pålsson told SVT Sport at the time.

Now representatives from two supporter groups, "Malmö FF's friends" and "Where Are the Girls" have submitted a motion to the extra annual meeting to be held at the end of the year. The motion opposes a merger of Malmö FF and LB07. Instead, they want the club to start a new women's team under the auspices of Malmö FF, which in such cases should start in division 4.

In the motion, they write, among other things: "Malmö FF achieves success on its own merits as we have always done" and "that we enable Malmö FF's women's team to build a genuine and loyal following."
