Petter Solberg won the WRC2 class at the World Cup rally in Wales yesterday. His farewell competition in the rally world, 16 years after he became world champion in the very British World Cup rally.

Now the Norwegian rally legend and double world champion in the rally cross will match 18-year-old super talent, son Oliver for new medals.

- I will try to help Oliver all I can and work for a rally team in the future, says Petter Solberg to SVT Sport.

Oliver World Cup debuted during the British World Cup rally and struck with several stretch victories in WRC2 the same class as Dad Petter drove. However, Oliver was forced to break the competition due to technical problems and a departure, but the aim is now set to run the World Cup next year.

- We want to run the World Cup next year in WRC2 and then we will see. The dream is WRC and become a world champion there, says Oliver Solberg to SVT Sport.

It has been a "snack ice" in the rally world whether Oliver Solberg should drive for Sweden or for Norway. This weekend during the World Cup debut, Oliver Solberg drove with a Swedish flag on the car.
