- I understand that the message comes out based on the escalated mood between police and supporters regarding the conditions staircase. This was a pretty long step across the border, I think, says AIK Fotbolls club director Jens T Andersson to SVT Sport.

The club director was out early and condemned the incident.

- I was ashamed of the opportunity to be club director at AIK Fotboll, he says.

From supporter teams, you are not surprised that the climate has hardened.

- We warned early in the year with support from research from, among other things, Enable *, that carrying out this type of very restrictive collective action from the police will probably lead to radicalization and polarization. Then we said that this could lead to something very destructive, says Axel Granath, board member of the Swedish Football Supporters Union (SFSU).

The conditional staircase - this is about the conflict

The conditional staircase is the police's name on the tougher guidelines that, from this year onwards, are available for clubs to continue organizing football matches after disruptions of order. The purpose is to access the illegal pyrotechnics. During the year, this has meant, among other things, stricter visitation requirements, banning so-called transparency flags and reductions in the number of spectators in the stands.

- I know that a dialogue has begun between Swedish elite football and the police, which I hope will result in something good, but we have not yet seen any development from it, says Axel Granath, board member of SFSU.

AIK: "Has taken a step back in development"

This is not the first incident at AIK's stand this year. Recently, a supporter of racist allegations in the Europa League qualifier against Celtic was shut down. Earlier, the club was penalized with millions of fines after onlookers stormed the opponent's heels during the Champions League qualifier.

- Our support dialogue has historically given us very positive parts. Now we think we have taken a step back in this development. It remains to be seen how we proceed with this, says club director Jens T Andersson to SVT Sport.

A police report has been set up by police on site during the match. AIK will also proceed internally with the incident.

- We think dialogue is still the way forward. We will see how we can bring this kind of message to our stands because we strongly distance ourselves from it, says Jens T Andersson
