The hot, somewhat unusual athletics world championships are over. Federation captain Karin Torneklint can breathe out and sum up a well-deserved World Cup.

- We had three big medal hopes and they managed the press and succeeded. The trick in the World Cup is to pass both a qualifying and a final, it can be difficult.

Karin Torneklint tells SVT Sport that she is pleased that so many Swedish athletes have made it to the final and that it shows that they really had the championship to do.

- Nine pieces in the World Cup final are high quality, in addition, some were very close to go to the final. We know that everyone has a big championship to do and soon there is a new championship, the Olympics.

"Everything can be exercised"

When asked what the federal leadership can and should do for those athletes who have failed the press, such as ball-jumper Fanny Roos, Torneklint answers:

- Everything can be practiced. If it is the strength that is lacking, you train for it, is it technology or the mental that fails, you get to train more on it. As far as Fanny is concerned, she has made great strides this year and has shown in big competitions that he can handle the mental.

"Is it really good?"

Karin Torneklint thought, and still thinks, that it was doubtful to compete in the marathon and running in the heat and humidity that was in Qatar.

- Inside the stadium it was good. But during the women's marathon I thought: is this really good? I'm doubtful, it still is, we can't risk the health of those who race. What we learned is that we almost always drink too little.
