LONDON (Reuters) - Manchester City have been relegated to a 2-0 defeat at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the eighth round of the Premier League this season, extending their lead to eight points.

Wolverhampton striker Adama Traore, who scored both goals in the 80th and fourth minutes in stoppage time, was the star of the game.

Wolverhampton lifted the tally to 10 points in eleventh place, and Manchester City stopped at 16 points in second place, eight points behind leaders Liverpool.

It was the second defeat for Manchester City in the league this season, where they were also defeated by Norwich City, win five games and draw in one game, while this is the second win for Wolverhampton in the league versus the loss in two games and draw in four games.
