The world set in tennis Novak Djokovic was successful in his comeback after the shoulder injury he received in the US Open. He won the ATP Tournament in Tokyo, with no set loss. - It was a fantastic week in every way. I felt bare on the track, and the Japanese made me feel welcome back, Djokovic said after the final win against John Millman, Australia

The tournament in Tokyo is ranked as the ATP 500, not one of the bigger ones. No other player in the absolute world elite was present.

With the set numbers 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 the Japanese Naomi Osaka finally won the China Open. In the final she defeated Ashleigh Barty. It was Japan's second straight tournament victory on the women's side.
