Magdalena Eriksson gave Sweden the lead already in the 13th match minute but twice on Hungary was close to leveling in the first half. Fortunately, Hedvig Lindahl preserved the form from this summer's World Cup playoffs.

- Thankfully Hedvig has some world-class rescue. She keeps us in the match, says Magdalena Eriksson to SVT Sport.

First she saved a heavy distance shot and shortly thereafter, she parried a shot from close range when she raised her hand and saved to the corner.

- We have a pretty good track, but Hungary sometimes comes up with counterattacks and they manage to create a little when we don't get to our press. And they have two really hot chances, which I manage to save, it was really fun, says Lindahl.

The World Cup performance has lifted the Swedish goalkeeper who switched Chelsea to German major club Wolfsburg.

- Before the World Cup, I probably wasn't worthy to play for such a good team as Wolfsburg. Personally, I feel it is nice that I found a method for playing good football.
