It was a final with many records, and a trio that did not seem to want to tear themselves out. Ilya Ivanyuk and Mikhail Akimenko from Russia, and Barshim from Qatar. The two Russians had jumped 2.33 at the most, but tonight they had the right lift and easily reached 2.35.

But after that it stopped, but not for the home jump. For Barshim, over 2.37 hovered without any problems, securing the gold at that height.

The silver went to Akimenko, and the bronze to Ivanyuk.
