Ejection seat

The days of Printant at the head of the club were counted for two weeks and the heavy defeat conceded by the Greens in Angers (4-1). Insistent rumors placed the former deputy on an ejection seat pending the arrival of a renowned coach. In turn, the return of Jean-Louis Gasset, of which Printant was the deputy last year, the arrival of Antoine Kombouaré and the signature of Claude Puel had circulated in the media.

Printant, 58, had managed to remobilize the Greens - mediocre but winners in Nimes in L1 the following week - and who drew a draw Thursday night in Europa League home against the Germans Wolfsburg (1-1). This match will be the last of Printant as a coach of Saint-Etienne, he who was appointed last June only.
