Russian Ilya Shkurenev took fourth place in the decathlon at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Qatar Doha.



The 28-year-old Russian athlete scored 8494 points in the sum of his performances in 110 m hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin and 1,500 m runs, thereby fulfilling the Olympic standard.

The winner was the German Niklas Kaul (8691). The second place was taken by Estonian Maisel Uibo (8604), and Canadian Damian Warner (8529) closed the top three winners.
