CAIRO (Reuters) - Liverpool manager Mohamed Salah has been ruled out of the Pharaohs camp this month to face Botswana in a friendly in preparation for the African Nations Cup qualifiers in Cameroon 2021, coach Hossam El Badri said on Thursday.

"I agreed with Mohamed Salah to get some rest and not to join the next camp," Badri said in televised remarks.

"The doctor informed him of Salah's complaint of straining the connective muscle," he said. "I hope he will return better after the rest, and he is certainly with us after that."

"I have also reached out to Ahmed Hegazy and Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, and I will also communicate with Ahmed Hassan Kouka and Mohamed El Nani," the quartet joining the next camp, which will kick off next Monday in preparation for a friendly match against Botswana.

Egypt are preparing to play hosts Kenya on November 11 in Group G, which includes Togo and the Comoros.
