Swedish team captain Caroline Seger has been hampered by an injury that kept her away from the all-Swedish matches against Örebro and Kungsbacka in September.

Now she also misses Friday's European qualifying match against Hungary.

During Wednesday afternoon, the national team management made the decision that she will not be ready for match play on Friday.

- Since we arrived in Hungary on Monday, Caroline has conducted individually tailored training that has increased daily with very positive development. But given that the match is already played on Friday, we do not have the safety margin required for Caroline to be fully ready for match play, says national team doctor Houman Ebrahimi in a press release.

Elin Rubensson has since been forced to refuse because of a concussion.
