Al-Sadd coach Xavi Hernandez has expressed his disappointment after a 1-4 loss to Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal in the first leg of the AFC Champions League semi-final.

"There was a game before and after the red card," the former Barcelona captain said at the news conference after the match. "It became very difficult after the expulsion, it was possible to score before him but this is football."

"Qualification is still on the court, and many things can happen and we can benefit from them, although we will miss some influential players like Bounjah and Abdelkarim Hassan."

Regarding the ruling and its decisions, he said, "I do not prefer to talk about governance and he has taken many decisions, but I will not talk about it."

"Air conditioning is a good thing and made the atmosphere special for the fans and the players. I was a player and it is difficult to play in a warm atmosphere, so air conditioning is important and serves the players," Xavi said.

"The dream has not evaporated and we will not give up and there is another 90-minute run and we will do our best," Xavi said.
