Klintsovsky City Court of the Bryansk Region refused parole for children's football coach Alexander Protasovitsky. This was reported by the press service of the court after an offsite meeting held on the territory of correctional colony No. 6. The fourth person involved in the case of two brawls in the center of Moscow is serving a sentence. Zenit striker Alexander Kokorin, his younger brother Kirill and midfielder Rostov Pavel Mamaev also took part in the sentence.

Protasovitsky’s lawyers, Nikolai Savostyanok, who was personally present at the meeting, and Tatyana Prilipko confirmed the information about the refusal of parole. It is reported that the defense has the right to appeal the decision of the court to higher instances, but at the moment it is not known whether this motion will be filed. In accordance with the law, 10 days are allotted to this convict.

“We just talked with Alexander about this, he said that we will discuss. We get the text of the decision on hand, read it. November 10 ends the sentence. I even get the impression that the consideration of this case is being dragged out so that there is no reason to appeal to the court of appeal, ”RIA Novosti quoted Savostianka as saying.

The petition for parole was sent to the court in mid-August, however, its consideration was postponed twice. Initially, this was due to the need to study the documents, but later it turned out that Protasovitsky received several penalties at once, allegedly related to his behavior in the Moscow pre-trial detention center.

In particular, it was said that he repeatedly violated the discipline of the correctional institution, refusing to make his bed in due time. In addition, the meeting scheduled for September 24 was adjourned due to the late arrival of one of the lawyers.

At the same time, the defense continues to insist that all penalties have no justification. The coach himself denies the blame, too, which, according to Savostyanka, did not even have the opportunity to familiarize himself with the relevant documents. Lawyers appealed to the Public Monitoring Commission (PMC) to conduct an investigation. Currently, the prosecutor's office in Moscow is engaged in verification of penalties.

The official position of the court is not called, however, according to Prilipko, the existence of penalties has become the main reason for rejection of the application for parole. It was adopted in spite of the positive characteristics of the convict sent by the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN).

“The motivation for these penalties suggests that Alexander is a socially dangerous person, because he did not make the bed three times! At least, according to the staff of SIZO-2. Apparently, the court suggested that Alexander spend another month and a half in custody and learn not to straighten the bed at the wrong time, ”the Sport-Express lawyer quotes.

In addition, she sharply criticized the court’s decision, accusing him of “triple standards”.

“I recently read in the press about the colony’s employees who tortured a person to death and came out on parole. Ustinov, in the absence of corpus delicti, was given a suspended sentence, and Protasovitsky was denied everywhere under the same circumstances as all four of them went through. And how to comment on this? It’s impossible to find any normative words, ”the Championship quotes the lawyer.

Last October, the brothers Kokorins, Mamaev and Protasovitsky became participants in two brawls in the center of the capital. As a result of their actions, the driver of the TV presenter Olga Ushakova, Vitaly Solovchuk, as well as officials Denis Pak and Sergey Gaisin, were injured. The forward of “Zenith” and his younger brother were sentenced to a year and six months in a penal colony, and the midfielder of “Rostov” and the coach to one year and five months of imprisonment.

On September 6, the Alekseyevsky District Court of the Belgorod Region granted the petition of the players and Kokorin Jr. for parole, and on September 17 they left the correctional facility. If Protasovitsky does not appeal the decision, he will be held in custody until the deadline, as a new application for early release can be submitted only six months after the refusal.
