Anxiety, but insufficient knowledge ... Political survey of new influenza reveals the actual situation on September 30 6:04

In a public opinion poll of the Cabinet Office, I asked several questions about what I know about the new influenza, and all of them were less than half.

The Cabinet Office said that 3,000 men and women aged 18 years or older nationwide this summer as the new influenza strain, which is extremely toxic and infectious, has only been 10 years since the first epidemic in Japan. We conducted a survey and received responses from 1647 people, or 54.9%.

When asked if they feel anxious about the pandemic influenza, 79.5% said they felt anxious and 18% said they did not feel anxious.

In addition, when asked about multiple items to know about the new influenza, the most common case is “If you get infected, it may become serious” 45.1%, followed by “Many infected people occur. “There is a possibility” is 43.8%, and “There is a possibility of causing a global pandemic” is 40.9%.

A person in charge at the Cabinet Office says, “Although the risk of new influenza is understood to some extent, it is not enough, so I would like to communicate more actively.”
