The organization of the Rally of Morocco , a preparatory event for the next Dakar Rally , has confirmed this Thursday the participation of the Spanish pilots Carlos Sainz, Nani Roma and Fernando Alonso , who will continue their foray into this discipline in the African country.
Fernando Alonso, whom Marc Coma accompanies as a co-pilot in this adventure, will face this test at the wheel of the Toyota Hilux Overdrive.
The Spaniard, twice winner of the Formula One World Championship, will challenge himself with great Dakar Rally champions, such as Qatari Nasser Al Attiya (Toyota Hilux), Frenchman Stephane Peterhansel (Mini John Cooper Works Rally, South African Giniel de Villers (Toyota Hilux) or also the Spanish Carlos Sainz (Mini John Cooper Works Buggy) and Nani Roma (Borgward BX7 DKR Evo), among others.
In the motorcycle category , on the other hand, the list of participants is also attractive, with the Australian Toby Price, the Chilean Pablo Quintanilla, the Austrian Matthias Walkner, the British Sam Sunderland, the Argentine Kevin Benavides or the Spanish Joan Barreda as candidates to triumph
The Rally of Morocco will be held from October 3 to 9 and consists of a 2,500 kilometer route.
