When the Norwegian World Cup squad met yesterday and would check in at their hotel, it was not as they had hoped.

After studying the rooms, they quickly realized that the standard was not at all what they wanted during the championship.

"There was a sewage tank, mosquitoes in the bathrooms and poor hygiene," Erlend Slokvik, who is the head of the Norwegian Athletics Association, told NRK.

"Be bad air"

He says that simply could not stay.

"The rooms were very unhygienic, there was bad air and poor cleaning in the dining room," says Slokvik, who says that the Norwegian Athletics Association itself must put out for the new hotel - but that they will demand compensation from the World Cup organizers.

- We pay the bill, but we will demand compensation. The World Cup organizer will provide free accommodation for the practitioners.

The hotel that Norway left was the same hotel that Sweden lives in, says Norwegian nesting star Karsten Warholm.
