It was ready for a final party between the Blacksmiths and the Dackers. But the party lost a lot of energy already in the second heat. First, the smiths' Alexander Woentin entered the air wall, which was quickly back on its feet. But it was not over there, in the restart it was time for the next Eskilstuna driver to crash. Pontus Aspgren lost control already in the first curve, and went violently into the wall. An ambulance came in, and the match had to be interrupted for a period. But in the end Aspgren managed to get off the track on his own and continue driving.

It was not only the number of crashes that the smiths had most initially. The team tear-started the final and after four heat led the entire 17-7. But after that it leveled off, and the Dackarna started to keep up with the Smeds and after nine hits, the Smeds still had the lead with ten points, 32-22.

But the match would end as it began in points. The smiths took 20 points in the final five heats, winning the first final by 54-36.

Final two will be run tomorrow in Målilla, and a huge pick-up from the Dackers is required in order for it not to be a third straight SM gold for the smiths.
