Fifa's award, "The Best", as the world's best soccer player went to Argentine Leo Messi at the gala in Milan yesterday.

The jury behind the award consisted of national team federals and team captains as well as journalists.

Now Fifa has published the document on how everyone voted. From a Swedish point of view, Swedish federation captain Janne Andersson chose Leo Messi as one, Eden Hazard as second and Mohamed Salah as third. Andreas Granqvist had the arrangement: Kylian Mbappé, Virgil Van Dijk and Lionel Messi.

What stood out most, however, was Cristiano Ronaldo's choice in the top three. The Portuguese, who chose to honor the gala, voted for his new teammate Matthijs de Ligt as one, Frankie De Jong as second and Kylian Mbappé as third.
