Amanda Ilestedt has been given her center-back position after the club move from Potsdam to Bayern Munich this summer and also played the entire 16-part final in Gothenburg two weeks ago.

But injury claims in the back of one thigh caused the Swede to stand over last weekend's match in the Bundesliga. In a comment via Bayern Munich's press officer, Ilestedt, however, greets that she is ready for play in Wednesday night's match against Gothenburg.

“I have worked consistently over the last few days to get ready for the Champions League game. Everything is okay again and I'm ready for games, ”she says.

Gothenburg traveled to Munich on Tuesday with a fresh 3-1 victory against Djurgården in the back.

Bayern Munich, however, were far worse this weekend, with a 5-0 victory against FC Sand and two more goals by Mandy Islacker - who has now become a two-goal shooter in their last three games (including in the 2-1 victory against Gothenburg).

"Gothenburg showed at the first meeting that it is an opponent that we must take seriously," Islacker says.

"But our goal for the return is clear: we want to dominate, score and move on to the next round in the Champions League through a win".
