The Russian doping authority Rusada and Russian athletes have once again fallen under scrutiny. According to prominent German journalist Hajo Seppelt, Russian authorities are once again suspected of doping fraud. According to Seppelt, Rusada has manipulated trial responses and doping data in the Moscow lab and international anti-doping agency Wada will now launch an investigation against the Russian anti-doping agency.

Samuelsson strongly criticizes

Swedish biathlete Sebastian Samuelsson has long been a strong critic of the Russian anti-doping program and strongly criticizes the decision to once again allow Rusada to conduct tests in Moscow.

- Me and many others with me were very clear last fall. We did not think that Rusada would be approved again. They had to get back into the heat and it felt very strange. These latest data, if they are true, show that they have given Rusada a confidence that you really should not have done, says Sebastian Samuelsson to SVT Sport.

He continues:

- Every time such a thing happens it becomes like a bang on the jaw. You almost wonder why you are doing this at all. You deceive and cheat and steal moments from people who want to do this right.

Samuelsson believes that if the information is correct, Russia must once again be suspended for international competition.

- If it turns out that you have manipulated test answers, then Rusada and Russia must be turned off again. I do not see how to allow Russian athletes to compete and how to allow Rusada to do tests. Now you have to show that this is not okay and that a great deal of work is required in Russia before being welcomed again for this situation is unsustainable.
