Al-Jazeera international newcomer Omar Abdulrahman "Amouri" has confirmed that he is not in a hurry to play the full game at the moment but if asked by the team coach, Dutchman Juergen Streble will be ready for the challenge.

"For me, I'm ready for a full game but I'm not in a hurry, but the decision is in the hands of Dutch coach Jurgen Streibel," said the 2016 Asian Player of the Year, who moved to Al Jazira last month from Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal.

Al Jazeera won 2-0 at home to Al Dhafra in the opening journey of the search for the crowning of the Arabian Gulf League title in the game, which participated in the "Amory" in the 74th minute, and contributed to the creation of more than one opportunity to score.

He continued: "If asked to start as a basic for the benefit of the team, I am certainly ready and I will be at his disposal certainly."

"I congratulate my team-mates but we would have liked to show a better level than we did, but at the beginning of the league, the demands are to get the three points," he said.

"For us, they controlled the game and we got more than one chance but we didn't invest it."

Amouri was greeted by Fakhir Abu Dhabi fans on the pitch following his debut.
