The bronze match never got exciting. The Swede took an early lead and looked strong as she pushed her 36-year-old opponent off the mat at the start of the second period. The veteran was forced to take a small break when she was assisted by a leader to crack her back after that situation.

Hungarian did not manage to recover from it and did not score a single point until the closing seconds.

Henna Johansson lost Thursday's quarterfinals against the reigning 62-year-old world champion Taybe Yusein. As the Bulgarian made his way all the way to the final, Johansson was given the chance to wrestle for a medal via re-election. On Friday morning, she won against Romanian Kriszta Incze by 4-0 and secured a bronze match.
