In Oita City, where five games will be held at the Rugby World Cup, an event will begin where visitors can appreciate contemporary art while walking around the city.

This event will start from the 20th of Oita City in conjunction with the opening of the Rugby World Cup.

Various contemporary art works were created with the city center as a theater and museum.

Of these, in Takemachi-dori shopping street, a picture of the image of the cheerful voice of rugby and Kabuki, along with Oita's special product, Kaboshiya Shiitake, is drawn on the shutters of empty stores.

In the hotel lobby, 1600 LED lights and other works that fantastically represent the shape of the earth will be displayed.

Mr. Atsushi Kono, Oita City's Commerce and Industry Administration Section, said, “I have set up works that I can't usually see in the town. I want many people to visit Oita in the Rugby World Cup.”

This event is held until November 2nd.
