Lisa Nordén became famous when she ran home the silver in the triathlon in 2012. Now, seven years later, she will compete for Sweden in the cycling World Cup. But the transition has not been easy.

- I survived the first race with distress and scarcity, she tells Aftonbladet.

In addition to the Norwegian national team making her invest in a bike, she uses her boyfriend Calle Friberg, multiple mountain champion in mountain biking, as a sparring partner.

"When I keep up with his pace, then I know I'm in good shape," says Nordén, laughing.

The Olympics is the goal

This summer Nordén won double SM gold in a bicycle, which resulted in her chance to run for Sweden in a line race in Vårgårda in August. Now the former triathlete is ready for the World Cup, which starts on Sunday in Yorkshire, UK where she will run both the pace and the line race.

- I hope that I can help Sweden reach the top 15 at national level, because then we qualify for the Tokyo Olympics.
